Our Strike Out Hunger campaign website brings home silver at the 2014 AIGA Nebraska SHOW

What a brilliant night of inspiration, impressive work and celebration with some of the best creative talent in the Midwest. It was great to be surrounded by local creative shops at this year’s event and to celebrate a win for our Strike Out Hunger website, a campaign site for the Food Bank for the Heartland to counteract the decline in food and monetary donations over the summer while increasing awareness to the issue of hunger.

Wheelhouse has the best collaborators: Swanson Russell Omaha—John Vogel, Jeff Jahn and Dave Markes; Brian Barks and Stephani Romero from the Food Bank for the Heartland; of course Scott Blaine for his astute developer skills and Monica Ghali for her design prowess. Congratulations team!

Not only did the SOH site help the Food Bank of the Heartland reach over 335,000 meals donated—over 150,000 more than the year before—but now it’s been recognized for its strategic functionality, writing and good design. ROI and design can go hand-in-hand, now that’s a positive impact. You can learn more about the Strike Out Hunger site on its project page.
